Our extreme trek fundraiser - thank you for your support

As part of our CSR policy to practise what we preach, Shirley Chick raised £15000 with 9 other women, known as 'the Angels' to purchase the trophy hunting licence for 'Voortrekker', the majestic desert elephant pictured below. Our conservation co-operation and support of EHRA enabled us to save the bull and all his future generations in order to promote sustainable tourism in co-operation with local communities in this remote part of Africa. Over a period of six days, the Angels trekked for eight hours a day, suffering dehydration, raw feet and scorpions in order to save Voortrekker from his plight. Royal Geographical Society, 2008
