As organisers, we were responsible at a strategic level for the conference content and speakers as well as an event management including production, online delegate registration, sponsor and key stakeholder liaison and logistics.  Sustainability was at the forefront of CT-Live’s entire campaign.

Key speakers included Zac Goldsmith, Director, The Ecologist, Dr Sultan Al Jaber, CEO Masdar, Abu Dhabi, Peter Ainsworth MP, Shadow Minister for Environment, James Cameron, CEO Climate Change Capital, Catherine Witherspoon from California Air Resources Board and Right Rev Richard Chartres, the Bishop of London.

Delegates participated in the conference via interactive voting keypad technology organised by CT-Live; the conference demonstrated that businesses desire to be held accountable for their green activities. In fact, 89% of attendees at the Low Carbon World Conference confirmed they felt green business reporting should be made mandatory.

Living in a Low Carbon World’ is a non profit event and is hosted by the Sustainable Environment Foundation, a charity founded to promote public awareness of, and research into, the role played by the built environment in climate change.  .

The event was a natural evolution in terms of content from the successful, inaugural event handled by CT-Live in 2007 and discussions are underway to plan the 2009 event.
