Smart, Safe & Sustainable: Clearview Traffic

A product launch campaign orchestrated by CT-Live to promote Astucia’s SolarLite Intelligent Road Studs generated national and international coverage ranging from the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, ITN News, BBC News 24, BBC Radio 2, front page of Daily Telegraph, the Times and Independent as well as specialist publications such as National Geographic and The Ecologist.

We were given just three weeks to produce a launch campaign to highlight the arrival of a  British designed “smart” road-stud which is making a significant improvement to driving safety on a number of key roads, with a big boost in visibility compared with the traditional reflective “cats-eye.”

The Astucia SolarLite™ stud stores solar energy during the day, then built-in Light Emitting Diodes automatically illuminate from dusk to dawn, providing drivers with up to 900 metres of visibility. This is ten times greater than the traditional, retro-reflective, passive road stud which relies on being illuminated by the headlight beam of the approaching vehicle.

Our task was two fold.  We created a stunning computer generated imagery sequence (CGI) showing how the road stud works, followed by simulation demonstration video material which Clearview Traffic can use at major exhibitions, sales demonstrations and on its website.  The PR campaign not only generated exceptional coverage, it also encourage 50 new potential distributors to contact the company.  “We would never ever have achieved this with your efforts of the CT-Live team ” said the Sales & Marketing Director post event.  We are now working on several new campaigns for Clearview Traffic, another happy client.
