CBI Interactive Conference

British Energy stepped up its low carbon campaign by taking a platform at the annual CBI Interactive Conference and CT-Live was right behind them in co-ordinating its business solutions for climate change.  We created a private CEO debate on carbon disclosure with guests including Paul Dickinson, CEO of the Carbon Disclosure Project, Richard Lambert, Director-General of the CBI and Greg Barker MP, Shadow Minister for the Environment.

As a sponsor, British Energy had prime position within the auditorium and guests to the stand were taken through a touchscreen carbon calculator created by CT-Live.  Set in a freestanding kiosk, the calculator allowed delegates to calculate and compare their company’s carbon emissions through different energy providers.

BMW Group UK

Working with worldwide training and people specialists, JBA, CT-Live has recently delivered outdoor team building for BMW Group UK for national sales managers. We also managed the logistics and production elements for the launch of a global after sales initiative in January 09. Under the professional steerage from JBA, the UK dealer network and its after sales in particular, is primed to face the exigencies of the current economic climate head on.

BMW UK dealer staff brace themselves for a 7m climb up a vertical ladder. Working as a team, they had to haul each other up and over five rungs using just two straps for support - with a great deal of buddy support for courage.

2007 Low Carbon World a resounding success ...

At the close of the Low Carbon World Conference organised by CT-Live on April 26th at the Royal Geographical Society in London, 93% of the business leaders present pledged their commitment to measure their organisation’s CO2 impact and 95% would meet challenging targets for reductions in carbon emissions.

From the success of the event, CT-Live worked with the principal stakeholders, Quintain Estates & Development, to create a charity, the Sustainable Environment Foundation, and develop and implement the follow up conference in 2008. CHALLENGE:
Informa challenged us to take their annual Christmas Party to the next level by creating and efficiently managing a memorable event that celebrated the merger between Taylor & Francis and Informa.

SOLUTION:
We assembled a skilled and dedicated team representing event design, planning and operations to successfully deliver a turn-key event management solution. Moscow came to life in London when we converted the Lawrence Hall at RHH into ‘Rockin’ in Red Square’ with Cossack dancing, Matrioshka dolls and giant Faberge eggs and Russian Tea Room with samovars.

RESULT:

RHH

Drawing over 80% of the staff from 8 regional offices, the on budget event exceeded Informa's expectations delivering an entertaining and memorable experience.

SITUATION:
BAE SYSTEMS needed to create an exceptional opening ceremony for its regional headquarters at Capability Green, Luton which catered for a prestige guest list as well as involving the employees.

SOLUTION:
We became involved very early in the planning process and were instrumental in developing an event which incorporated Royalty, senior military personnel and Board members from other blue chip companies. We facilitated a Harrier flypast by closing Luton airspace, provided world class entertainment from the Philharmonia Orchestra and broadcast the entire event live across the entire site.

RESULT:

BAE

The event was deemed a huge success despite last minute rescheduling including Luton airspace when the Duke of York’s schedule slipped by 40 minutes prior to his arrival.

“We could not have carried it out without your usual professionalism” commented the client and congratulations poured in from the Board, attendees, staff and even Buckingham Palace.
