Case Study - EDF Energy
Brief
A regular in our stable of clients, at short notice, EDF Energy Multi Sites, B2B Energy Sourcing and Customer Supply tasked CT-Live with developing an internal review event for 300 staff in Exeter, UK. Our key challenge was to offer activities which could bond the entire group in the short space of three hours. EDF Energy’s Olympic involvement in London 2012 was to be the theme for the event.
Solution
The University of Exeter offered the right space at the right price. Of the various options put forward, the client agreed to unleash the creativity of its staff; groups of ten were tasked with painting large Olympic themed murals. Delegates were kitted out in colourful protective wear and set about daubing in their best Andy Warhol style. We mixed up departments and staff grade levels to ensure people got to know each other across the business to great effect. For good measure, the rhythm of African drumming was used to bond the organization and we quickly brought chaos to percussive bliss across the entire group.
Results
The staff were so proud of their artistic efforts completed in two short hours on the day, that the pieces have been hung in premises across the country as a reminder and celebration of their success. The division continues to grow from strength to strength with it’s team united thanks to the tiny role played by CT-Live’s passionate experts.
